Night on the Town

We got an invitation from Adrian and Josh to join them for a little night out. Adrian had won tickets to the Odyssey Dance Theater's performance so we thought we would make a night of it.

I always love going to performances/events like this where I feel like I get to be cultural and swanky - dressing up, heading down town, dining at unique eateries, etc.

Este Pizza was the dinner local of choice - we had heard good things about it and had a happenings coupon so decided to give it a try. It was pretty good - it was NY style pizza and although it was tasty, I would never have paid full price for it and would have just gone to Sbarro's (but what kind of swanky atmosphere does that provide?).

Next was up to Kingsbury Hall. I LOVED going to this venue. The U holds a special place in my heart - not just for my Utes but I have to say there is something about that being my alma mater. We walked the campus and past all the building in President's Circle that housed 90% of all my classes. It's so cheesy - but it just made me happy.

The first half of the performance was awesome - fun, one song dances that were creative and entertaining. But after intermission it took a turn for the worst. They performed an act from an actual dance and it was just kind of lost on me. I guess I'll never be one to love the ballet or dance that tells a story - still fun for a free night though.
We had a lovely time and it was nice to get out and socialize- we are such recluses that this doesn't happen very often. So thanks for the invite and enjoyable evening guys!
