Do You Ever…

… wake up and being a girl just hits you in the face?
The realization starts with that sneaking suspicion that you are just a little more emotional than needs be – like you are on the verge of tears when your husband crawls out of bed just as you crawl over to cuddle with him.
It snowballs from there as you go through the motions of getting ready and every single girl thing you have to do becomes a chore and an annoyance – hair, shaving, getting dressed, make-up, jewelry, accessories, etc.
You get to work (mostly put together) early for your meeting and that emotional bubble starts to rise higher in your throat and you know the next thing that questions you in any way could just push you over the edge.
Work starts and the work load builds, emotions and frustrations run high, you snap at some co-workers, more and more is asked of you and then it hits:

That wave of emotions you’ve been fighting back all morning.

Luckily you make it to the bathroom to quietly cry in your stall and just let it all out.
As tragically pathetic as you feel – you realize that a cry is maybe exactly what the doctor ordered. Even if there is nothing actually wrong.

So you pull yourself together, walk out of the bathroom tear streaked and puffy-eyed and decide to face the day.
You indulge in a little chocolate – and on the wrapper it just happens to tell you: “Feel good about today”

So although you are a girl and have just had a pathetic little melt down, you pick yourself up and trudge through the rest of the day and decide to feel good about it.

Sorry you are having one of those days, but thats what ponytails are for. ;) And you don't even need make up so you could definitely skip that part.

Do you need an outing? I have returns I need to make at Ross. There are few things that a Ross visit can't fix. ;)

boys are so good to put up with emotional girls. you just need to go home and wrap yourself up in your husband! =)

Oh I'm sorry sorry Jill, those days are the worst. I feel like I've been having a lot of them lately, too! Yuck. I hope you are feeling better. I love your blog so much.

I guess that's the benefit of expecting -- no girlie surprises for 9 months. Sigh.

Dove chocolate always make life better!
