Girls Just Want to Have Fun

After having the older half of the Jensen Hoard over a few months ago, we had promised "the girls" that we would have them over - and that blessed event happened this past weekend. Cam and I loved every minute of it - they are just adorable.

The fun began Friday after work - when I pulled into the drive way I could see their little faces anxiously waiting me and could hear them scream when I got out of the car. Their eagerness was so sweet and I was so happy I could take them home with me.

We filled the evening with as much fun as two kid-less people can.

We worked on being domestic and made some bread, the girls helped on every step of the process and loved getting their chance to pour things in, watch it mix and raise, and slowly turn into bread. We also whipped up some cookies and they were just as helpful in that process.
After all that baking there were some dishes to be done, little did I know I had brought home some hired help as well. Paige wanted to do all of the dishes and did a fantastic job. She plowed through all the dishes and wanted to find more to clean. Love her for that.

At some point in the night we hit our low spot and had a little accident with Morgan (it was at this point in the evening that I knew my fate had been sealed that I should never have children not really). She was down and out for a bit, but looked ever so adorable curled up on the couch and sneaking some cuddle time with Cameron (check here for the awful truth of the matter).
The girls went to bed without a peep and slept well enough into the morning to let us all get our coveted Saturday morning sleep in (I'm hoping our kids come trained to sleep through the night). Breakfast was filled with homemade bread and cereal - and Morgan looking strangely like Einstein...
The sleepover wasn't quite complete with out some games of twister (which is quite entertaining to watch these midget's try to reach everything they are supposed to), Morgan's photo session, jetted baths, Wii, and anything else that held their attention for 3 minutes.
Being the good girls they are, we decided to treat them to some "Old McDonald's" (as they call) it and stop by the dollar store to get them a little prize. They both decided on a painting set and were so excited to get home to paint! We got everything all ready and they were so content working on their masterpieces.
It was during this little adventure that the carbon monoxide alarm went off - like this time - so we opened the doors in case it was real and decided we better put some clothes on these girls. After we ceased to be able to disable the alarm, we got them ready to head home so we didn't further endanger our little guests (although later we determined all it needed was a new battery).

Usually after having someones kids it is nice to be able to take them back. While it was nice to take them home, I probably could have kept them forever. They are at the sweetest age and ask questions in the cutest voiced and giggle the most delightful giggles. I just love them...

Oh my gosh. You did so much with them! You're so nice and I'm sure Trent and Amy appreciated the break. Looks like fun. And I'm so impressed you made homemade bread.

And you look SKINNY!

Jill! I just caught up on your blog and I love your life! I love how you are doing things for others - like having Paige and Morgan over or inviting Jenny over for dinner. That's awesome. Let's play soon! (Maybe next Thursday?)
