Donuts or Doughnuts?

Last Saturday I found myself at Clark's for a bit of a bake day. We decided to to try things we have never made before. This included some new kinds of cookies, but most of all: donuts. None of us had made donuts before and were excited to try. We made raised as well as cake. The raised one's went about 100 times better than the cake one's - we couldn't get the frying of the cake one's down quite right. I think we were all pretty impressed with how they turned out in the end.

On a similar note, Cam came home yesterday from helping his dad with a treat in tow. One of my oh-so-very-although unusual-favorite treat: unfrosted sugar cookies (and his mom's none the less). I LOVE Lynette's sugar cookies. I was even more impressed when Cam told me she only made them just for me so Cam could bring them home for me. I have to brag just a little bit, but I have an amazing mother-in-law.

Clearly I have too many treats around me (especially because I only had these three cookies left... I don't think I'll admit how many came home on the plate). I guess this is just a good way to try and practice my self control.

Yum ! Tuna cookies and donuts. I guess you, Cam and me - oh - and you, of course, are the only ones that know the exact count of the cookies that I sent home. And, thanks you are sweet and amazing yourself !
