The Hap's

At times I feel I don't really do much in my life and feel like there isn't much going on, but looking back over the past week or so, I have really stepped up my game in the "fun" department. To get a full re-cap we'll have to go back a ways (and maybe not in order).

Last Saturday Cameron and I decided to entertain the "kid" in us and visit ChuckE Cheese's. We brought James and Josh along so we weren't totally out of place. We loved getting to have these boys and see their excitement and determination to get as many tickets as possible. So fun.
Later on that same day, we had a bowling date with my parents. Yes folks, I got these two to come bowling with us. We had a blast and I ended up bowling my highest score yet, 146!!!
After bowling we got to enjoy my parents company a little longer as we tried the highly recommended Salt City Burger Co. I was not disappointed. Anywhere that gives you free reign to toppings (including ranch) is my kind of place. It was delish, I will add my recommendation to the many others.

At some point in time, we decided to give Cam a little hair cut. He was a little nervous at first and it took some time to finally decide to do it, but we shaved his head. Not super short, but it turned out great and I think he really likes it!
Cam's little brother turned 16 the other day and I had to welcome him to the world of how the Jensen's celebrate. I didn't really end up doing that much to show him how we Jensen's celebrate, but we did take him (along with his first "date") to PF Chang's. It was delish and way fun to be there to celebrate.
I think the highlight of the last couple weeks was the evening I got to spend with the Johnson girls. Jessica had offered to make dinner quite some time ago and we had a hard time getting a night scheduled. Finally the stars aligned and they were able to come over this week. They slaved away in the kitchen and made a fabulous meal!
The meal was complete with HOME-MADE pasta (with skills learned directly from Italy) topped with browned butter and sage leaves, along with roasted veggies, grilled chicken, and garlic-cheese biscuits. I can't even describe how good this was.
Other random events usually took place with this guy. He is a sucker for bets and after some high quality pizza from Sbarro, we had some left over Parmesan cheese. I told Cam I'd give him $5 if he ate it all without drinking. It made it in his mouth for about 15 seconds before the game was over. Gross.
Last night we doubled with my good friend Barbara from work and her husband. We visited the beloved "Firehouse Pizzeria" and a night of bowling. It was a blast!
Not pictured: a wonderful night at Trent and Amy's filled with good food, games on the Wii, and a movie. I haven't been good about being there much since I moved out, but it felt like being home again getting to hang out with some of my closest friends.

Needless to say, life is pretty darn fabulous right now. I am so lucky to have so many fun people who surround me that just getting to hang out with people is a treat!

Yum! That dinner looks so good! I hate that I wasn't there. I ran into Jess at Costco - she said it was a fun night. We need to get another night in the works.

And I hate that I wasn't part of your fun week. Sorry to bail last weekend. Boo. Can't wait for our reschedule.

But above all, I LOVE that you went bowling with Mom and Dad. Awesome.

I really could use some garlic cheese biscuits right now. Freak. Those sure were fantastic. I really had so much fun that night. I haven't laughed that hard in so long! Thanks for letting us come over. Let's really do it again soon! This time I'll try to be nice.
