Things to be Happy About

I decided that I need to take a proactive approach to finding things to be happy about this week. Even despite the hardship of the past week, I have so many things in my life that make me happy. Let me share with you

* I realized that I am going to be done with school earlier than anticipated. I will officially be done with school on December 11, yes that is less than three weeks away!
* I have the greatest family. Operation Cheer-Up Jill was on Tuesday night and we met at Chili's for unlimited chips and salsa and Diet Coke (and trust me, I capitalized on the unlimited Diet Coke).
Brooke was there in spirit and floating head...
... Which has made it's way to my desk at work...
* I paid $1.77 for gas yesterday, that is a beautiful thing!
* I got the sweetest letter in the mail from Maga with the following poem:
"It isn't as bad as you sometimes think it is. It all works out. Don't worry. I say that to myself every morning. It will all work out. If you do your best, it will all work out. Put your trust in God, and move forward with faith and confidence in the future. The Lord will not forsake us. He will not forsake us. … If we will put our trust in Him, if we will pray to Him, if we will live worthy of His blessings, He will hear our prayers." - Gordon B. Hinckley
Yes it made me cry, but it made me happy that Maga is so thoughtful and loves me!
* Brooke was so sweet and sent me a nice card and a gift card to Cold Stone, my favorite ice cream! I just loving getting things in the mail and people are just so nice!
* I had a box of new clothes waiting on my bed when I got home last night, I ordered them a while ago and wasn't expecting them, it made me happy.
* Next week is Thanksgiving and I get to get away from real life for most of the week and escape to St. George and enjoy the new pool and the holidays.
* Shannon is coming to St. George for Thanksgiving, who wouldn't be happy about that?
* Tonight I get to enjoy the company of the great people of my ward at the Star Wars Induction Party. Although Star Wars is not my favorite, I am excited to go.
* I get to go to the big game tomorrow and I am pretty excited. I love having school spirit and getting to go be involved in the rivalry. Hopefully tomorrow I will have a win for the U to add to my things to be happy about!

I LOVE that you updated! Thank you!!! Did my card and gift card not make you happy!? Anyways I love, and I'm so jealous you get to go to the game tomorrow.

Ha! I love where you have placed the Brooke head at your work. It is like she is constantly peeking over the cubicle to check on you! I am glad you found some things to be happy about and I was very jealous when I saw the UPS man come to our house. I thought maybe I had purchased something fun that I forgot about. But no, just a box of clothes from American Eagle for Jill. I did cry a little bit...

I'm hoping for a UofU win just for you Jill (but don't tell anyone!) ;-). That poem by Pres. Hinckley is one of my absolute favorites... I thought I had sent it to you this week, but I think I forgot... Can't wait to play with you tonight!

Thanks for being willing to give Star Wars another try, even though you didn't like the first one. I'm you sure you will love "Empire," since this is the one with the "Pride & Prejudice" sub-plot, among many other reasons. We may make a fan out of you just yet.

As you remember, we had a deal: If you watched Star Wars, then I would watch a chick flick of your choice. Just name it, and I will go and do, Nephi style.
