Here is the post you have all been waiting for (I'm sure): THE HONEYMOON
After our perfect wedding day, we left our dinner just after 8:00. We headed up to Park City to stay at the Waldorf Astoria. It was amazing! Probably the nicest hotel I have ever stayed at (and thanks to Megan for getting us an amazing rate and room). We enjoyed some sparkling cider, a midnight McDonald's run, and LOVING that the stress was over.

The next day we got to leisurely take our time before heading to the airport. It was so fun to have our WHOLE trip ahead of us at this point.

We survived the day of travel, were so excited to be in Hawaii and get to our resort. Milking our "honeymooner's" status, we got a free upgrade to an amazing ocean front room with the most amazing view.
The next morning was awesome, waking up Hawaii outside our window, an amazing resort to explore, and the most delicious breakfast buffet. Yes, we honeymoon'd in paradise.

Our favorite part of the day was getting ready and heading into Lahaina for dinner. We ate at the best places on the island (some multiple times). It was always right about sunset and all the places on front street are open air and have a great view of the sunset. It sets the most romantic mood. We loved it.

We spent our days lounging around the pool. I was usually soaking up the sun while Cam swam laps (yep, he still got his workouts in). Everyday was beautiful weather and usually a little on the hot side which made jumping in so refreshing.

We on occasion ended up on the beach. Is there anything better than walking just a few steps and being at the edge of the ocean? Early morning, sunset, or the middle of the day - we loved it all on the beach.

Sunrises and sunsets don't get much better than in Hawaii - whether enjoyed on the beach, from our balcony, at the restaurant, or just driving back to the hotel.

My favorite routine we fell into was our lunch break. After a few hours at the pool - building up an appetite and sweltering in the heat - we would take the little walk down the beach to Leilani's. This is a little restaurant that has the best Hawaiian dessert - HULA PIE! Oh man, this thing is divine. Based on an oreo crust, a mountain of macadamia ice cream, topped with a thick layer of fudge and topped with more macadamia nuts. Yep, this and Diet Coke every day for lunch - my idea of perfect.

The rest of the time was spent just enjoying every minute with each other. We had a blast no matter what we did and lived up every minute.

Sadly our time in Hawaii came to an end. We took the red eye home to LA...

... But luckily for us we weren't headed home just yet. We wasted some time in LAX (like 5 hours) before making our way to the port to board our cruise ship.

Our Mexican voyage awaited us and we were so excited! We were exhausted and couldn't wait to just get a nap in after over 24 hours of not having a hotel.

We naturally spent a lot of time together just hanging out on the ship.

Our first stop was Cabo San Lucas. We loved this city on the water - filled with lots of cheap stuff, beautiful sights, and just enjoying being on land again.

Next up: Mazatlan. This was a bit of a dirty, industrial city - but we for sure made it fun. We enjoyed our open air taxi, our time on the beach, and our delicious lunch.

We also had to laugh at some of the things you find...

Last port: Puerto Vallarta. This was by far our favorite stop. We started near the pier enjoying a little flea market. We then headed into the "Old Village" to enjoy the rest of our day.

We loved it in the "Old Village" being by the ocean, the store lined streets, and best of all our lunch time break. We were there during the World Cup match between France and Mexico. Mexico has failed to beat France for 40 years and needless to say, this was a big game. We sat down at about the 25th minute and got to celebrate in Mexico's two goals and their big win. The restaurant went crazy, the street went crazy, and basically the whole town. It was so fun and exciting.

Back on the ship we spent time by the pool, reading, drinking diet coke, watching the world cup, goofing off, drinking diet coke, watching the world cup, eating, sleeping, drinking diet coke, and watching the world cup (yes, we drank a lot of DC and watched A LOT of soccer).

Even more sad than our end in Hawaii, our actual honeymoon was coming to an end.

We got home Sunday afternoon to real life. Luckily for us real life consisted of a new home for Cam, a new life, and the start of our actual married life.
Our honeymoon couldn't have been better. We loved every minute of it and wouldn't have changed anything.
