Bursting Pipes and Leaking Tear Ducts

Today I decided to dedicate my time to cleaning my house. It needs to be done every once and a while and today was that day.

Brooke and I were in the process of cleaning when I hear her call from the bottom on the stairs, "Jill, I think you should come here." I walk downstairs to find the bottom of my coat closet soaking wet. Water was seeping out it was so wet.
We pulled out all our shoes, pulled up the carpet and discovered even more water and damage. I was so overwhelmed with not knowing what to do or how to fix the problem. So what does every girl do when they feel overwhelmed? Sit down and cry of course. All I could do was look around me and feel defeated and frustrated (and maybe a bit pathetic).
Lucky for me I pretty much have a super hero for a brother. I called Trent to get some advice. Probably sensing my panic and knowing my inability to fix anything myself, he offered to come over to help. I was so relieved and grateful that he would come over.

After an analysis of the situation and a trip to a friends house for some supplies, Trent seemed to have the problem fixed in no time. I don't know how he seems to know how to do everything, but it's lucky for me he is so willing to share his knowledge with me.

Apparently the problem was a mixture of tinkering with the pipes when I moved in, the cold weather, and the plumbing not being done well. Now all I've got to do is air out my closet, work on my carpet situation, and hope that it doesn't happen again.
