Amy and I decided to make our cupcakes together. She has an amazing chocolate cake recipe (made from scratch) as well as the tools to do fancy frosting. By the end of the night, we had made some pretty incredible cupcakes. I was so impressed with us, don't you think they look good?
I have been on a bit of a cooking binge. I've tried new pie recipes, muffins, cookies, etc. I am not sure why I love it, but it I just do.
My "Betty-ness" continued today at our official Christmas Bake Day. This is an annual event that comes with lots of cookies, 2025 to be exact. This small task only takes around 6 hours and about 16 people to make it happen. It is one of my favorite Christmas traditions, it is a lot of work, but it is fun to hang out with family all day and get a yummy pay off.
Next on my list of things to make in the kitchen: soups. I am going to attempt to make several different soups to enjoy during this cold weather. If anyone has good recipes, feel free to share. And if anyone else wants to come over for dinner, just let me know. I always love visitors.

Okay, Betty. How have I not been able to partake of all your baking goodness lately? Well, I'll go eat one of my Bake Day cookies and think of you.
I have a super, super yummy chicken noodle soup recipe if you're interested. Let me know and I can email them to you.
Love seeing you today. Looking forward to our date on Monday!
You have mad frosting skills.
Mmm. I love all the good food this time of year. I wish I could've stopped by to see you all (and help) during the Bake Day festivities!
Hey, Betty! Why don't you bring some of those cupcakes my way??? On second thought, you better not. Those look so yummy I probably wouldn't be able to stop! Way to go! I'm way impressed!
Are you teaching Brooke how to cook too? We'll come try some of your soup, sometime!!! We need to see your super house. How long do you keep your decorations up?
