Some highlights of my favorite Christmas moments:
- Johnson Progressive Dinner: a Christmas starting point for me (and one of which I got a lot of grief for not mentioning this in my "Greatest Weekend Ever" post) This always seems to be the kickoff to the Christmas celebrations since it always falls on the Sunday before Christmas
- "Christmas Sweater Day" at work, LOVED it! There were some killer sweaters and 0f course we had to take a little family picture to document it:
- Jensen Christmas Party. This party isn't complete without the yummy breakfast food (provided to trick us into thinking it is Christmas morning, it almost works).
- Christmas Eve morning. This may be my all time favorite tradition. It hasn't been a long standing tradition, but for the past several years the adults that can, meet up for breakfast at my all time breakfast location: Market Street. It always proves to be a fun thing to get together and is a little less chaotic than the rest of the Christmas get-togethers.
- Christmas Eve night. Enjoyed the evening at home with those that could, eating a yummy meal (thanks to my amazing mother). The newest added tradition this year may be one of my favorites, instead of stuffing our stockings with things, my mom decided to fill them with notes from each other. It was so nice to take a moment out of Christmas and think of our feelings for others. We spent the evening sitting around the tree together writing notes.
- Candice was in town - which meant waxing for us girls. She was nice enough to wax my arms, and I LOVE it! Best Christmas present ever!
- Annual Sister Sleepover. How would Christmas be complete without us "Three Little Girls" having our sleep over? I did still wake up at 5:15 (usual for me on Christmas morning) but this year I ended up falling back asleep.
- Christmas morning - who doesn't love the magic of Christmas morning? Our Christmas' get a little less robust every year, and with us single people dwindling, it's pretty low key.
- Christmas Breakfast. Eggs, hash browns, ham, sweet rolls, hot chocolate, cringlers, OJ, the works. Enough said.
- Christmas Morning II - The chaos ensued with the whole Jensen Clan there. Cousin gifts + sibling gifts + Grandpa gifts = The peak of Christmas.
- My amazing sibling gift - Made with lots of love (and knowing me pretty well) Brooke made (yes MADE) me the perfect gift. A super cute jewelry holder filled with cute earrings, hair clips and accessories. It fits my bathroom perfectly - LOVE IT!
My Christmas couldn't have been better. I am so lucky to have my amazing family around to spend the holidays with. I have been so blessed and have been given so much. I was grateful for the reminder this season of those around me that I can serve and share my blessings with.
I hope you all had a wonderful Christmas and a Happy New Year!
