Not impressed with my accomplishment? That's OK, because I am. I took the first step and limited myself to one can a day last week (which is saying something for the amount I was drinking) and started this week off with my goal of no more Diet Coke.
I struggled last week with the caffeine headaches and moved on to the with drawl of caffeine as my pick me up in the morning and mid-afternoon this week. But I will soon be a fully recovered addict.
I'm not quite sure what kick started my journey to recovery, but I think it is a good thing.
So farewell dear friend. Oh how I will miss your delicious and refreshing taste, our morning and afternoon dates, and the joy that came from the first taste of each serving.

Oh I'm so proud of you! It's a brutal road isn't it? I've been off for about five weeks, with an occational sip here and there, and I have to say that it doesn't taste as good to me anymore! So you have that to look forward to!
Nicely done! I had no idea you were doing this. The nice thing too is that you are saving a lot of money! Good luck with your journey!
You can do it! Even cod liver oil tastes better than Diet Coke, anyway. =)
Whoa Jill. I know this is huge for you - and I also know you can do it. You really have no idea what inspired the change?
WHAT THE HELL!!!! Giving up in DC??? One of the few pleasures in life that will always love you back. I guess to each their own. I think if you wanted to kick the habit then good for you. I will toast to you each morning.
