Cutting Costs

We have all watched over the past several months as the market continues to worsen. Being in the position I am in life, I haven't really felt much of the effects. That has all changed in the past several days. It all started last Wednesday when my company announced that they are no longer going to match our 401K contributions and we are not to expect our Christmas bonuses. It hurt, I was a little more than disappointed.

Little did I realize that the real pain of the economy was yet to come...

These bad boys...

In an effort to cut costs within our own departments we decided to stitch to a cheaper brand of tissues. I have illustrated for you the best comparison possible: Sandpaper. Blowing your nose no longer is just a small task, it has turned to a slightly painful, exfoliation process.

So now my hopes for the economy to turn are not so focused on the real estate or stock market, but for the hopes of one day having softer tissues.

Ha! Love the post Jill! And your poor nose. I have a box of Kleenex you can take to work to save it!

I love that I have to read your blog in order to find out about our axed 401k and bonuses. Thanks for keeping me in the loop.

Are you so exited for this weekend?

Ouch! I feel for you. I've had a runny nose for the last few days and it's killing me!

I guess the bad economy is affecting everyone--we need to get together and cry on each others shoulder!!
