Ripping the Band-Aid Off

They say that pulling the band-aid off faster doesn't make it hurt as much. I think it hurts either way and isn't a pleasant experience. It seems like their are lots of things in our life that we can approach in the same way, quick and dirty and get it over with or slow and deliberate and usually a little more painful. I have decided that with the most recent experience in my life I am just going to pull the band-aid off fast, regardless of how awkward this is.

Blogs are a weird thing, anyone can read them and they all too often have too much personal information for the whole world to read, but I like that. I often am one to share too much about myself, but enjoy letting others into my life and getting to know me. The past two months have been a whirlwind of fun and dating and a lot of people aware of my relationship with Steve.

Last night it ended.

I share this only because I don't know if I can take the jokes about us getting married, asking how he is doing or how things are going and having to explain that it is over, making it awkward for all involved. This could quite possibly be the dumbest way to tell people, but I am hoping it negates some of the pain.

I love you too, and I love Shannon for picking you up this morning, and I loved having you all to myself last night, and I love that you blogged about this. Can you feel all this love?

I am up for a Jill night! Think of anything you want and we can do it. Things like this suck but you have so many people that love you, I can think of 7 just in this house. I am sure Aiden would love to talk to you for hours. ;) Some things coming to my mind, Sonic shake, Chilis DC and endless chips and salsa (maybe a Molten Lava), shopping at Ross and TJ Maxx, and I would even watch Pride and Prejudice with you. Let me know when you want to tackle any of these things on the list!

I'm for sure in with Amy - we I want some endless chips and salsa right now! And for dessert? TJ Maxx and Ross! Shopping makes everything better. I'll have to decide if I love you enough to watch Pride and Prejudice.

The real reason for my additional post: I'm sorry we picked the most boring episode of Planet Earth. I promise, the other ones have been much more interesting.

A song comes to mind..."breakn' up is hard to do" I am so sorry. There is nothing worse than putting your heart out there and having it broken. To cheer you up I woul propose a night a Chilies!!!
I hope everyone is game. Lets met at ChilesTuesday Night!! Are we all game. We can met at the one on 4th south and while mulling over lives greatest questions with DC and Chips we can also entertain Jill. Let me know if you are all in? In the mean time I sounds like Aiden has a willing ear!!

I'm so sorry. Breaking up is the worst.

But, look at all these people who love you! Looks like your sisters (including Amy) are all ready to just pick up the pieces and make it all better. I love that.

And, I totally agree with Maga: whoever ends up with you will be so so lucky. One day all of this crap will be a distant memory and you'll be so happy. I have no doubt about that.

In the meantime, hang in there and eat lots of chocolate.

Love to you . . .
