Comfort Food

They say that you shouldn't turn to food to console your feelings, but sometimes it is really just the most effective method to comfort oneself. This morning started out as just one of those mornings, you know the one's you just can't shake off a crappy mood, you are running late, had a rough night, your hair just isn't working for you, etc. My efforts to comfort my mood started with pulling out my new coat, which I love! I bought it in Chicago and haven't worn it yet, new clothes are definitely a second comfort to food. But I had to go for the hard stuff. Can you think of anything better on a snowy day than the best chocolate and a large Diet Coke?.... I think not.
Here is to improving my day!

Jill you make me laugh. "The hard stuff!" HAHAH!!! I was at Chili's one time and I told him I wanted the hard stuff, he looked at me and then asked it I would like a "drink" menu. He was even more confused when I told him no, just a diet coke. It seems to do the trick!

Nicely done! I have felt like hot chocolate all morning! Sorry you are feeling crappy, but hopefully the hard stuff is starting to pull you out of your slump!

Oh no! You were supposed to give all of your cheerfulness yesterday to me and not vice-versa! Email? Yes, I think so...

You are my girl. There's nothing like a new piece of clothing to make everything better, topped off with some Hot Chocolate from the sev. I'm dying for some right now - just not enough to pack the bambino in the car, carry her in, balance a hot cup of chocolate in one hand and a 50 pound car seat in the other. So for now, I'll just look at your pick and covet.

PS - I could really use some DC right now too. That's how desparate I am for a pick-me-up. Man, I'm dragging...

PPS - I do have on a crisp, new, long-sleeved white shirt today. Aren't those the best? New white shirts. Love them!

Chocolate consoles my feelings too--glad you inherited that from me.
