FOOD!!!

Food is one of the greatest things of being on vacation and New York did it's best to provide that. Here are a few of the places we ate...

Patsy's, a quaint little Italian Restaurant...
Magnolia's, a cupcake shop, so good! (Side Note: One night when we got back from one of the Broadway shows, there was a bag outside our hotel room. Jake had gone to Magnolia's and gotten all of our favorite treats and dropped them off for us. This was no small act since he was very far uptown and we were down town. Jake is such a thoughtful person.)
Lincolns Fried Chicken, this was a little hole in the wall chicken place in Harlem. It was actually really good!
Max Brenner, one of my favorite meals. This has been mentioned before by Jake as a form of Willy Wonka, and its true. The pipes above their head are chocolate pipes, and their dessert menu is much larger than their food menu. I stuck with a salad and just ate dessert, I also got hot chocolate that was so good! The other part about this meal that made it so fun was that Jake's roommate Rustin came with us. He was so funny! It was a blast.
Grimaldi's, this is a famous pizza place in Brooklyn. We traveled over there one rainy afternoon to enjoy the goodness (I successfully ate pizza everyday on my trip. Got to love New York pizza!)
Stage Deli, this was a deli just across the street from our hotel. We went one night and the entrees are all named after famous people. My heart almost stopped when I saw there was a Patrick Dempsey sandwich, unfortunately it wasn't one I would like. The portions were huge and so good!
Gray's Papaya, the famous hot dog joint. We grabbed the dogs and went and ate in the park across the street (the one featured in "You've Got Mail") I felt like I was in the movies...
Of course we can not forget the many street vendors we ate from. We stopped at so many and got so many different things. I just love that kind of food!

We ate many different places that were not captured visually: random bakeries, the salad bar place, The Bread Company (that we randomly ran into Trent and Jake), Stardust Diner (Trent loved the singing staff), Toast (a bar below Jake's apartment), the pizza place below Jake's apartment, several different pizza places, and the list goes on. Basically we were eating all the time.

One of the worst experiences was when we were at the street fair. I found a funnel cake place (one of my all time favorite things to eat). I bought one and was so excited, and I took my first bite into it there was an onion! I basically wanted to throw up, but luckily I was able to eat the other half and somewhat enjoy my find.

We were lucky enough to be visiting the food connoisseur and took us to all the good places New York has to offer, we just didn't have enough time to eat everywhere. I guess I'll have to go back to finish eating!

Geez, now I'm hungry. Eating at new places is definitely a high point when traveling. I still need to teach Mike that.
