Best Birthday Ever

Today was such a good day! I have so many wonderful people in my life that are willing to put up with my strange obsession with my birthday.

The day started out great, despite the winter weather, with breakfast at my favorite breakfast place, Market Street Grill, with my favorite person, Raul.
After getting to work late, I decided I probably needed to leave early too, so I headed home. I got home and got to spend time with my mom, Heidi, and Amy before my party started. My whole family make the trek to Bountiful to join in the birthday BBQ. I came home to find that my party had turned into a themed party (more to come later) and I was totally excited!
The kids helped with the treasure hunt Amy put together to find my presents...
They needed to help me open my presents (thank you to everyone for your gifts)....
And I needed a little more help with my candles (my wish will still come true right?)...

I can't begin to explain how perfect today was. Everyone was so nice and thoughtful. I think I love birthday's so much because everyone makes them so nice! It just doesn't get any better than spending the evening with my family (my best friends) and eating good food. Everyone had worked together to make all of my favorite things for dinner (bacon wrapped turkey, pasta salad, homemade rolls, funeral potatoes) and my dessert (I don't like cake so dessert was peanut butter bars and Oreo pie). It was all so good!

The one thing that could have made my birthday better would have been to have Brooke and Jacob around. It just isn't the same when everyone isn't here. I missed you guys!

I really can't thank everyone enough for making today such a good day! I appreciate everyone remembering (despite my reminders) and making an effort to express your well wishes!

Yay! I'm so glad you had a good day. Sometimes when there is so much hype the actual day can be a let down - I'm glad you loved your day. The festivities have been so fun. I loved lunch yesterday and the BBQ tonight. Good times. It was great to be with everyone.

Happy Birthday again. I love you!

I have loved the numerous celebrations for National Jill Day! I still can't get over how good all the food was last night! Good food, good friends, and fun! Plus a little McDreamy never hurt anyone!
I am glad you had such a good day!
Only 364 days till next Jill Day! ;)
