Killing The Beard

As you know, Cameron was growing out his beard for Ragnar - which was this past weekend.

So when he got home (which was just about the best moment ever) one of our first orders of business was shaving off his beard - Cameron was ready, and I for sure was (I have always liked Cameron with facial hair, but this beard was out of control).

Once he got started, the hair in the sink grew and grew...

The grooming started with crude scissors and moved to the clippers.

The options for his beard were endless - I think he got a pretty good amount of variation in there (can you believe how crazy that beard got in the first place?).

Then the finished product: my clean shaven husband -

This picture just kills me - this is the Cameron that often keeps me laughing but others rarely get to see. He puts on a pretty low key front around most people - but get him going and he can keep you rolling.

I'm still adjusting to such a stark difference in him - he looks like a totally different person to me. He has already commented on how much he hates it and can't wait for at least some of it to grow back. I think I miss part of it too - but luckily he is cute no matter what.

Can I just tell you how much I love having him home after this weekend?!?! They say that distance makes the heart grow fonder which must be true because I think I am more in love with this boy now than when he left. There is nothing better than having him around, crawling in bed with him at the end of the day, and having him to talk to at anytime - all of which I have missed terribly. So thank heavens he doesn't leave me very often - I don't think I am quite cut out for that.

He looks like a new person. Loved having him in CA with us this past weekend. Sorry, you were unable to join us. You were missed. Thanks for posting the pics of the shaving. I think we were all excited for him to get his "animal off his face."
