Tuesday we headed out of SLC in the morning destined for NYC and our great adventure.
We landed in NY at 3:00 and after 40 min on the tarmac and waiting for buses to come get us - we collected our baggage and were picked up by our town car to take us to our hotel.
After we got checked and and settled a bit before heading out - we walked up 9th Ave and stopped at the West Way Diner for dinner.
We then jumped on the Subway for Cam to get his first taste of NYC - the subway and then one of my favorite area's of NYC: Columbus Circle. Once there we checked out the Time Warner Center, ventured into Central park a bit, and decided to keep walking up to see the Lincoln Center, the NY Temple, and grab some treats and the fabulous Magnolia Bakery.
(don't mind the heinous state of my appearance at this point of the day - it was humid, I'm chubby, and it was a travel day - I didn't have much working in my favor)
After getting our delicious treats for the evening we decided to spend some time exploring Central Park - we saw the Mall, Sheep Meadow, Bethesda Fountain, Loeb Boathouse, etc.
We spend the majority of our time by the water near the fountain and boat house - we devoured our treats, enjoyed the perfect time of day, watched the turtles, and soaked up the moments of our first day in NYC.
We capped off the night by walked through more of the park to catch a subway to Times Square - I was SOOO excited for Cam to see this for the first time, especially at night.
It didn't disappoint.
It was magical, alive, busy, big, crazy, and everything inbetween.
We luckily stayed within walking distance from Times Square and headed back to call it a night.
